Name: Mangala Date of Birth: March 18th, 2014 Age: 2 years old Update: Mangala has changed tremendously during the year that she has been here on the farm with us. When she first arrived, she was so fearful that one could not even walk in her vicinity without her bolting and running away as far as possible. It took us a long time and a lot of attention for her to finally trust us and allow us to approach her. Now, she is one of the first cows in line when sweets are being fed. She loves eating sweets and she will happily accept them from anyone who offers them to her. While she has made a huge transformation, she still maintains her fearful nature as she does not allow just anyone to approach her. She doesn’t seem to like to be pet too much; although she might allow you to get in a few strokes, she will probably go on her way after a minute or two. At times she can be found stealing hay from other cows’ mouths as they are trying to chew on it. I guess the hay tastes so much better when it comes from someone else than from the hay feeder.
